Trust and Acorns – Thinking big even when your dreams seem small.

Hey, beautiful soul!

I have a story to share with you. It’s a story about a mother, a daughter,  some trust and a thousand acorns.  Here goes…

When I told my daughter that this acorn would grow into a mighty oak tree like the ones we were surrounded by, she didn’t believe me. I guess it’s hard to believe that something so small could grow into something so massive; so overwhelming.  

As the ground was littered with “oak tree seeds” as we called them, all she wanted to do was squish them with her boots because she liked the sound so much.

It opened up a beautiful conversation about life, conservation and understanding that even the smallest things matter. And, sometimes they grow into something we can’t even imagine.

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.  Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
