Witness.
It means so many things to me.
To see something happen.
To tell a statement of fact.
Jesus sent out His disciples to say, “Yes, I saw these things.”
“Yes, this is a statement of fact.”
“Yes, all these rumors that you’ve heard are true. I can corroborate this story.”
It’s no longer hearsay.
It’s a fact.
Jesus did these things. Jesus did everything in the Bible and then some.
The Apostle John writes:
“Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.”~John 21:25 ESV
Which is one of my fave scriptures, btw.
Could you imagine? This scripture takes place after Jesus’ resurrection and before His Ascension (when He returns to heaven to wait until He comes back for us again.) He did so many things in these short 40 days (I mean, think about it. That’s just over a month.) that “the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.”
Geez. That makes me happy.
Because, I really like books.
Do you?
