New Beginnings and RECREATED – A devotional for new believers or we “vintage” ones.

How have your first eight days of 2025 been so far?

I know, for some of us, it seems like a “back to reality” week. It’s the first days back from a long holiday break. At least for me mentally. 🤯

And now that I’m getting back on track with life, I’m super thinking about new beginnings while I do it.

You know…

New Year. New Beginnings.

Did you know that when you accept Jesus into your heart you become a New Creation.

It’s true.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (NIV)

That new is YOU.

Now whether you have believed in Jesus your entire life or are a new believer, YOU are a new creation.

I know I forget that at times. So, I wrote all of my thoughts down so I’d remember. And I wanted to share them with you.

Yes, I said “vintage.” To me, “mature” seems too stuffy. “Old” is rather rude. And “been a Christian for a while now” is simply too boring. So “vintage” it is! It’s the GenXer in me.
