I’m Dawn Michelle Michals.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I wear a lot of hats just like you do. So, grab your fave beverage and settle in. Let me give you a good excuse to take a much-needed break.
I’m a Mom.
Where to begin.
In 2012, God brought me a little girl who needed a home. And she has changed my life in so many, many ways ever since. She made me a mom. Or, she and God did.
Children are a blessing from the Lord, and she is mine. She has not only taught me the blessings and challenges of being a mom, but also the blessings and challenges of being a mom to a special-needs child. I am so blessed and humbled that God has allowed me this responsibility to raise His daughter here on earth.
You will see some of our walk on here. I’m feeling a call in my spirit to share more on our journey so check back often, and we will see what God has to say.
I’m a Wife.
Let me tell you a story. Do you need a refill before I begin?
Waaaaaay back in the 80s, I met a boy. He was the friend of a friend of a friend. (Did ya get that?) And, he showed up at my house for my 13th birthday party.
And I thought he was a total dweeb. I was 13. Cut me some slack.
We remained friends for a bit, but like most things in my life, it was only for a season, and we lost touch.
Now fast forward to a few years ago to a rainy and cold November 25th when a ding went off for my Facebook Messenger and to a message that appeared that said:
“Hello, Dawn.”
And the rest, as they say, is history. OUR history. We were married in 2023, and it has been much laughter, singing of 80s love ballads, and reminiscing over the “good ole days” of Atari, epic hair bands and Blockbuster movies ever since. Needless to say: God is good!
You may see him on here occasionally. He’s the guy with the beard.
I’m a Writer.
And do I love to write. I’ve been writing since I wrote my first song at three years old. (It was all about love and was super cute. Just sayin’.)
Now, I write Christian, quick-read devotionals and Christian fiction. I’m currently working on a cozy mystery! Clean, funny, and can’t-put-down content is my plan. I have HUGE dreams and lots of writing to do so brace yourself! Head over to my Amazon Author Page to see my books that are currently available. Rah! Rah! Rah! Okay. Maybe not that kind of cheerleader. But one thing I tell people is that I want their dreams to become their realities. And that is what I want for you too.
My passion project is to help writers achieve their writing goals. And my baby is my Let’s Write Already Facebook Group. Maybe I should have started with this one?
I’m a firm believer in “put God first and everything will fall into place.” In fact, it says in Matthew 6:33: “But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.” (WEBUS)
Isn’t that beautiful? I want everything that God has for me. I want to be who He created me to be. It’s a process, but I think I’m getting there.
