Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Proverbs 16:3 NIV
Several years ago — probably more like 15 now — a writer friend gave me a little frame with this scripture in it.
I didn’t understand what it meant.
I was new in my walk and new in my writing.
Today, I received this in a different version as the Verse of the Day from Youversion, and it all clicked.
I think that when the time is right, God opens up His Word like a flower. In fact, I know He’s right. His thinking is right. Fifteen years ago, I needed this scripture to open the path that He knew I’d take. Through all the twists, turns and detours, I’ve come back. Back to my writing.
Back to depending on Him for my writing.
So today I write and commit it to God.
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. ~Proverbs 16:3 NIV
May the Lord establish YOUR plans today as He guides you in your writing. And, may He establish my plans, too.
