What does Jesus say about worrying? ~ 6 Days with Matthew 6

“Don’t worry.”

Don’t ya just cringe when someone tells you that?

I do anyway. It’s way easier said than done. Am I right?

But the Bible says it over and over. Not to worry.

Matthew 6:34 says, “So don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow can worry about itself. There’s already enough evil in every day.”

The Bible tells us to “not worry,” to “not be dismayed” and to “not fear” numerous times.  And I know it’s hard. That’s why it’s repeated so often in the Word. Because, if you’re like me, we need reminders.

Matthew 6 is my favorite book of the Bible. To me, it’s my Christianity 101. Everything I need for a crash course in what God is all about I find in these 34 verses. He tells us:

🙏How to pray.
😌How to be humble.
🥇What to value.
☺️How not to worry.

I go back to it time and time again to refresh my memory and to better know God. If you want to check it out, I like Bible.com. It’s a great site with a fantastic app, plus it’s super easy to remember. Matthew 6 is soooo good. I hope you have a chance to read it soon.
