It all started with this scripture… AKA Does God answer our prayers before we even ask Him?

Have you ever had one of those moments?

You know. The ones when you see something and you are all by yourself and you just have to share it with someone? Like right now?

That’s how I’m feeling this morning. I saw this, and I had to share it with you.

It all started with this scripture:

“Joseph bought a linen sheet. Then he took Jesus’ body down from the cross and wrapped it in the sheet, and placed it in a tomb that had been cut out of rock. Then he rolled a heavy stone up against the entrance. Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses were watching where he was laid.” (Mark 15:46-47)

Hold on to that bolded part for just a minute.

Now here’s the next part:

“Once the Sabbath had ended, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, (Note: These were the two who witnessed the stone being rolled in place.) and Salome bought aromatic ointments so that they could go and anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just at sunrise, they went to the tomb. They were asking each other, ‘Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?'”  (Mark 16:1-3)

Okay, now get ready for this part:

But when they arrived and looked, they saw that the very large, heavy stone had already been rolled away.”  (Mark 16:4)

Do you see what happened just then?

God answered their prayer without them even having to ask Him for it.

Read that last sentence again. I mean seriously. Fully get that in you.

Matthew 6: 31-32 says, “So don’t worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ These are all the things that the heathen chase after, but your heavenly Father knows everything you need.”

God didn’t need to roll the stone away. Jesus would have been just fine with it firmly set in place. He had risen after all. He didn’t need to walk out the front door. He didn’t need a way out.

But these women of God needed a way in.

Do you need a way in today? Breathe easy knowing God knows exactly what you need way before you do. He has set a straight path for you. Enjoy your walk.

I wanted to leave this with you today. Isn’t our God so good?!? Comment below and let me know if you’re secret prayers have ever been answered without you even having to ask. And if you need prayer, encouragement or a hearty laugh, I’m here for you too.

Be blessed! And know how valuable and wonderful you are to God.
