How to learn scriptures when you don’t understand.

Top of a closed HP laptop. On it are 5 diamond art stickers. One is a slice of cake cut in a triangle that is purple and pink, one is a white cat with a yellow unicorn horn and a rainbow tail, one is a white unicorn with a rainbow mane and tail, one is the planet Saturn, and the last one is a selection of musical notes in various bright colors. My daughter decorated it for me, but my initial reaction was not what I thought it should be.
The Kid decorated my laptop with diamond art stickers she created herself. And my initial reaction was not what I thought it would be. 🤔

So this happened on Sunday.

And at first–I’m just going to be honest — I was a little irked.

I know I know. 🤦‍♀️ My Mom Guilt kicked in saying I should be so blessed and excited that The Kid decorated my laptop.

But the perfectionist/control freak in me didn’t like that I didn’t get asked where the stickers should be placed.

Again. I know. I know. 🤦‍♀️ Don’t judge me. Or judge away. I’m human. Can’t help it at times. I’d really love to have a better grasp of “going with the flow.” And sometimes my initial reactions are quite reactionary.

Isn’t it weird that for however long we’ve been “with God” learning about Him and His giving heart, we still have these moments. Or is it just me? 🧐 🤣

That’s one thing I love about God and His Word.

For those of us who are “life-long learners,” (Tell me I will learn something, and I’m THERE. Same for documentaries. Anyone else? 🙋‍♀️)…

There’s ALWAYS something we will learn.

No matter how long we study. No matter how long we read the Word.

God will continue to show us something new. And if you need to know something, just ask Him! Isn’t that fantastic?!? Check out this scripture👇

Jeremiah 33:3 (ESV) says, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”

If you don’t understand a verse, chapter or the entire thing, please ask God to reveal it to you. Make it easy on yourself.

Do you have a scripture that you don’t understand? Let me know in the comments! Let’s chat with God about it today and get us some revelation 🙌

And for those of us with Mom or Dad Guilt, if you feel it, then I would say you CARE and are a pretty great Mom or Dad. 💖

MOM MOMENT👇

I’ll never be able to get rid of this laptop and it will go in the vault with the handprints that look like turkeys and the I Luv Mommy notes from ages past.
