What I’m scared of.

I am scared.

I’m scared of where this world is coming to.

I am scared that my special needs daughter won’t make it in society.

I’m scared of a thousand more things that I can’t think of right now.

And, that’s okay. In Psalm 56:3, it says:

“When I am afraid. I put my trust in You.”

Being scared is okay. In fact, God knew we WOULD be scared. How could we not? This world is horrible!

There’s drug dealers, sex traffickers, slave owners (yes, there are still slave owners.), bullies, just to name a few.

That is why we have a heavenly kingdom that we strive for. And, we put our trust in Him. God didn’t promise that we would always have good times. In fact, he says quite the opposite. But, He does promise to give us what we need right when we need it. To not give us anything more than we can handle.

John 16: 32-33 says:

“A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (NIV)

Jesus has overcome the world for US. And, it we put our hope, faith and trust in Him, he will help us overcome it too.

He will give us peace beyond our understanding. (Philippians 4:6)

He will make the works of our hands prosperous PLUS MORE!

Deuteronomy 30:8-10:

“You will again obey the Lord and follow all his commands I am giving you today. Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land. The Lord will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your ancestors, if you obey the Lord your God and keep his commands and decrees that are written in this Book of the Law and turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.” (NIV)

Just throwing out some Trust Nuggets today!

God makes promises throughout His Word that he will love us and sustain us…always.

What are you scared of today? Be honest! Do the actions of the world frighten you? Does the news send you trembling?

It’s OKAY! The best way to conquer our fears is to GET THEM OUT and put our trust in the God who created all things. Let us know below!
