There’s one thing I love…
…and that’s red high heeled shoes.
But boy howdy if I wore them 😳
I am a firm believer that God has a plan for me. Plans of hope and a future. He says so in Jeremiah 29:11. And I hold firm to that when I’m having a super bummer of a day and things aren’t going the way I had them planned.
Please note that phrase “the way I had them planned.”
Emphasis on the “I.”
Sometimes in life I want things that God didn’t plan for me from the beginning.
When he “knit me together in my mother’s womb.” (Psalm 139)
And that’s okay.
Well. It is now anyway. The closer I grow to God the more I realize I don’t have a clue what I’m doing.
But He does. 💖
He knows what I need when I need it (Matthew 6). He has every hair on my head numbered (Luke 12:7). My Dad knows everything about me. And He is the one who knows what’s best for me.
He has those plans for me too after all.
So now when I want something, I pray. And ask for His will not my own. And His will is always so much better than my own.
Red high heels may not be in my future but that’s okay. I’m perfectly happy with red socks and comfy shoes.
