I’m happy. Are you?

I wasn’t sure that I’d get to say that for real and mean it.

Too often — and we all do it — we walk through life with the “I’m fines” and the “I’m greats” when in reality we meanโ€ฆ

My child isn’t so well mentally right now, and I don’t know where to turn.

My marriage/job/life is a shambles, but I don’t want anyone to know.

I want to do this, that, or the other but I’m too busy, tired, insert your adjective here.

Is this you too?

I walked in fear a lot about what people would think if they knew my life wasn’t perfect.

I still do to some extent, but I’ve realized one thing:

Life is LIFE. And, sometimes it’s great and I’m writing, my child is happy and thriving, while other timesโ€ฆ

It’s a bleeping mess.

But, now, regardless of the mess, I can say in my soul that I am happy. I am on my path. I am on the path God laid out for me from the beginning.

For we are Godโ€™s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 2:10 NIV

I am so happy.

Today, anyway.

And, if I wasn’t?

That’s okay too. Because feelings matter. They are real.

They aren’t meant to be push down and suffocated.

Please don’t be suffocated. The world needs YOU. We need your feelings, emotions, mood swings, perfections, imperfections, the true and real YOU.

I’m happy. Are you?

There’s a scripture that I didn’t understand the meaning of for a long time,

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7 KJV

How can I have peace when I’m suffering? How can have peace when my world is falling apart?

I didn’t understand it. But, I guess God knew I’d be like that since he through in “which passeth all understanding.”

Growing in Christ, He has made it clear to me. Even in the midst of the yuck I can have peace through Him. A peace in knowing that I am on the path He set out for me. A peace in knowing that I am in His capable hands. A peace that I will never fully understand.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 KJV

Often, to better understand a passage, I read it in a different version.

We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

Romans 8:28 AMPC

I know that right now I am living according to His purpose. I do not have anything to worry about or fear. I can have peace (aka happiness) deep down in all circumstances.

Are you living according to His purpose? What would your life look like if you were living your dream? DREAM BIG! And, tell me about it below.
