*First off, I sent out an email that this is Post #14, and well, I can’t do math. ๐Ÿ™‚ So, here we are with Post #13.

Well, I did it!

Sorta. Kinda.

I emailed my PCP the details about the Open MRI place I found two hours from my house.

So, now we wait.

tick tock

Have any of you had an MRI? What was it like for you? I’ve met several people who said it was fine. I’ve met several others who said, “Heck, no!”

While others said, “Take a ‘happy pill.’”

So, I emailed my doctor about that, too!

I just don’t know, y’all.

I just want to be healed and not go through this. I just want to know everything is fine and not be put in that Spartan helmet again.

But, I know to do thatโ€”and confirm itโ€”I need to have an MRI.

Thank God for the open one!

Because, like I’ve said…

I ain’t getting in that tube.

Thanks so much for being with me on this journey. If you are jumping in right now, and would like to catch up, here are the links to the other posts.

  1. I’ll read the other posts and try to catch up but I wish you the best and hope you are able to get better and heal!

    1. Thank you so much, Pooja. I really appreciate it. ๐Ÿ’–

  2. Hey! I wish I knew how many times Iโ€™ve gone through MRIs โ€“ just had my July on one Tuesday in Dallas. Kind of standard issue when you have brain cancer. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Iโ€™ve done it tons and I will say that it does get better. Now I just meditate/pray and listen to James Taylor. They used to take so much longer, but theyโ€™ve come a long way in the decades Iโ€™ve been doing it. (My first MRI was in a trailer parked behind Childrenโ€™s Hospital in Dallas in the nineties. Like, what? How can we make this more scary for kids? Oh, I know! Letโ€™s do it in a trailer! ๐Ÿ™„). I will say that if you donโ€™t mind drugs, give it a try with some sedation. It definitely makes it more tolerable. I havenโ€™t used sedation in years, but itโ€™s definitely a solid option. Hope youโ€™re feeling well otherwise! ๐Ÿ’œ

    1. Thank you SO much for this! My doctor said a happy pill is in my future. I’ve arranged for a driver. And, I’m ready. When God is. I expect to know something next week. I get really nervous when I think about it but decide to breathe and trust God instead of freaking out. God is in control. Did they tell you anything on Tuesday? Or do you wait for your doctor? In either case I am praying for positive news! Thanks again for your encouraging words. I appreciate them.
