When my retina specialist mentioned multiple sclerosis to me for the first time, I seriously thought I’d get an MRI, have a quick answer, then move forward with my life whether with the “all clear” or a new path at least knowing exactly what is going on.
That was in June 2021. I wrote about it here.
But, now it’s February 2022, and I’m only slightly closer to my goal of knowing than I was before I even went to my first appointment.
I did have a specialist confirm the irregularity in my vision is NOT from my optic nerve but is located in my deep retina, which supposedly rules out MS!
“But, what about the spot in your vision,” you say?
Well, no one has said a thing about it.
And now my hands don’t want to seem to pinch things and pick them up, which is being attributed to my repetitive motion of being on my phone all the time. I’m a writer, handle social media strategy, and I’m an online business owner. So today, I’m brainstorming ways to be on my laptop now more than my phone.
Let’s see if this helps.
But, in the back of my mind, I wonder…
Could this be MS?
I’m frustrated.
And, discouraged at times.
But I know one thing…
God is in control.
And He always will be.
He knows how many hairs are on my head. (Luke 12:7)
He was with me in my mother’s womb. (Psalm 139:13)
He knew my destiny before the world began. (Psalm 136:16, Romans 8:29, Ephesians 1:4)
So, He’s got this one too.
Are you waiting on word today? Are you waiting on a big change to occur?
Does it feel like you are sludging through mud to get there?
Know that our heavenly Father is with you. Every step of the way.
He’s with me, too. And, in Him, I know everything will be fine.
Everything will be made whole.
Everything is in His perfect timing.
Because He is guiding me holding my hand.
He is holding yours, too.
Here a scripture for us to stand on:
For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.”
Isaiah 41:13 (ESV) (emphasis mine)

Have a blessed day, y’all!
God walks with you in this difficult journey. As I watch my own daughter who suffers from rare diseases as well as adrenal cancer and at this moment CVOID, I remind myself how much God loves her more than her dad and I could ever love her. I know that there are many other ways you can share your message to others. Perhaps record yourself and then share it. I will keep you in my prayers and ask God to guide your doctors as well as any decisions you need to make.
Thank you so much for this. And for sharing with me about your daughter. God is an AWESOME God and Father. I’m praying for her and for you. I wanted to share my journey to encourage others on theirs. 💖
My daughter’s channel her name is Victoria where she has been sharing her story
I would love to follow her. Did you send a link? I’m one part of my feed or looks like there is one and then here it has disappeared. Please tag me in her post or let me know how to find her. I would love to pray and support the two of you.
It is so beautiful to know that He will never leave or forsake us! In the darkest, scariest, unimaginable moments He is there with us. Continued prayers for you to get your answers!!!
