If you’re on Instagram like I am, you know about a thing called #caturday. (Here’s my link if you’d like to follow me. www.instagram.com/dmmwrites )
I was going to wait to post my latest post until #caturday, but I just couldn’t do it. Look at this face!!!!
I adore #caturday. Why? Because everyone I know—and a lot of people I don’t—post pics of their favorite feline fur babies.
And I just love that.
All the feline love comes out. Although I kinda feel sad for the poor doggos of Instagram. They get a hashtag, but I sure haven’t seen a day!
In the Bible, God placed us in charge of His creation.
Genesis 2:15 (FBV) says,
“The Lord God put the man in the Garden of Eden to cultivate it and care for it.”
“…care for it.”
This is my favorite part of the verse. You can cultivate a garden. You can grow a garden. But “caring” for a garden IMO is completely different.
That’s where the heart is. 💖
Caring for something means it matters to you. God’s creation matters to Him deeply.
In Matthew 6:25-26 (FBV), Jesus says, “That’s why I’m telling you not to worry about your life. Don’t worry about what to eat, or what to drink, or what clothes to put on. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds—they don’t sow or reap or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they are?”
We are God’s creation too. Each and every one of us. He spoke us into being and knew the plans for us before time began. (See below.)
What do you feel God is calling you to do today? With your life? Would you mind sharing it? Your path may encourage others to seek their own. 💖
“Praise God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with all that’s spiritually good in the heavenly world, just as he chose us to be in him before the beginning of this world, so that in love we could be holy and without fault before him. He decided in advance to adopt us as his children, working through Jesus Christ to bring us to himself. He was happy to do this because this is what he wanted. So we praise him for his glorious grace that he so kindly gave us in his beloved Son.” ~Ephesians 1:3-6 FBV
